One of the main roads leading into my university, Louisiana State University, in Baton Rouge is Dalrymple Drive. I'd often wondered how the name had come to be. Thanks, Viola, for the story.

We returned from holiday - then I came down with strep throat - getting back into the groove!

BTW, when we were in Vienna, we visited the Hapsburg crypt - OMG! It was beyond amazing - Maria Teresa's crypt is HUGE - anyway, the power in those well-maintained rooms was undeniable.

Thanks to your posts I related more to the history there.
